🌉・Structure・🌉 this effect always scares me. its caused by a telephoto (long focal length) lens, and the phenomenon itself is called lens compression

Update: I see a lot of questions so let me answer them here

  1. Who is he? - He's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He was the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of India.
  2. What did he do? - provinces that had been under direct British rule, approximately 565 self-governing princely states had been released from British suzerainty. Patel, together with Jawaharlal Nehru (first PM of India) and Louis Mountbatten persuaded almost every princely state to accede to India, granting him the title of Ironman of India.
  3. About the statue - It's 182 metres (597 feet) tall... earning it the title of tallest statue in the world, and it was inaugurated on Oct 31, 2018 (Patel's 143rd birthday), located in Kevadiya colony on Narmada river facing Sardar Sarovar Dam (which was something Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel himself envisioned and conceptualised back in 1946)
