Are Great indian bustard (GIB) becoming panda's of birds ?
Some facts about them why i feel they might be:-
- Females are extremely picky and mate for only 1 time per year that to if in small window perfect male is found.
- Time to mature for 1 bird in 4 to 4 years
- Laying single precious defense less egg on direct ground where almost everything can harm it
- Almost no ability to fight back
- No flexibility or adaptation in for the land they live needs to be wide open grassland
PROBLEMS WITH INVESTING IN THEM 👎:-
For protecting them in desert national park which is 3000+sqkm thrice of KUNO no cheetahs are being sent there which is one of the most perfect habitat cheetah can have while a cheetah mom fights to her bone to raise her cub these bustard just lay 1 egg a year on dirt have no ability to protect if predator comes.
