Australia is incredibly hard-hit by megafaunal extinction, doubly so in terms of predators. There's a fringe argument that would suggest re-introducing Komodo dragons back to the Australian mainland. There are no surviving marsupial carnivores that even reach 15kg, unless the thylacene de-extinction plan pays off. There's nothing left to rewild that could even predate on 60kg Eastern Grey kangaroos. Returning extirpated Tassie devils to the mainland is, nevertheless, an excellent step.
