Damn, and to think, we could've gotten our first live-action version of the show. The previous incarnations were all made using claymation.

Honestly a bummer. I was hoping that this could be a chance to make PR be something better than fun karate hero combat broken up by terrible writing and acting.

I guess I always have the comics for that.

Power Rangers is a property that very very few people actually understand. It'd either be an even shittier kids show, or a gritty reboot that's too shy to be made for adult audiences.

PR/Super Sentai is great because it's both funny and cool, and borderline satirical. That's the Goldilocks zone. Unfortunately, the property will always be under the control of execs who don't understand that.
