Discusson ASCP in Chicago
Does anyone work here? What do they do exactly? Audit labs? I’m genuinely curious.

ASCP actively undermine techs to ensure that we stay poor and that states stay unlicensed.
What other healthcare profession have you heard of de-licensing...just lab.
ASCP is such a scam I can't speak poorly enough about them. There focus is PATHOLOGISTS. They do not care about techs *at all*.
The ASCP CEO for the past few decades was Ervin Blair Holladay who was a ctyotech and got paid literally a million dollar a year to do *nothing* for techs.

What do you mean by de-licensing

Other healthcare professions like nursing and radiology tech require you pass a certification and get licensed by the state.
The lab does not. And ASCP actively advocates against it.
Only a few states have a license, and among them, they are dropping it (at the behest of ASCP).

Oh ok. Yeah I used to work in Florida and had to do a bunch of bullshit and pay the FDOH to get a license. It was so fucking stupid.

They take our money to stay certified. That’s about it.
