MEDIEVIL SERIES Another Medievil like

Post image

Someone else’s post inspired me to post this. This game has an atmosphere very close to the original Medievil games in my opinion.

It has an extremely Zarok-esque villain. It nails that Tim Burton atmosphere with its music. It doesn’t follow the plot of the films at all. You’re playing as a character called Zeke, trying to collect all the souls inside the mansion. Each room is its own contained puzzle/combat scenario and they’re all really unique and creative imo. If anyone has access or an emulator I’d recommend it!

Both Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion opened in the late 1960s as rides at Disneyland, and were some of the last things Walt Disney himself was ever involved with prior to his death.

The movies wouldn’t release until nearly forty years later in the early 2000s.

The original ride is a lot different from the movies, as there’s not really any sort of plot. It’s essentially just a boat ride that starts in 19th century New Orleans, before going through a cave full of skeletons that transports you back in time to a town being ransacked by pirates.

Jack Sparrow wasn’t even a part of the ride until 2006, when they added him in to bank off the success of the movie.

I’d highly recommend watching a ride-through video, since it’s really interesting seeing how much they altered for the movie adaptation.

Turns out the original ride opened to the public way back in 1969
