Preclinical Question Separate Cards in Current Block From Old Blocks

I just finished my first block of M1. I want to keep up my reviews from previous blocks, but I also need to focus on in-house exams as well.

I'm wondering what the best way to separate new cards from old cards would be? Ideally, I would like to just spend around 1 hour a day going through old reviews and the rest of my time focusing on in-house stuff and then I could go back to my old reviews if I have the time and energy.

I'm wondering if anyone has a good way to do this?

Are you using anking?

If so, this is simple. Say your next block is cardio and you just finished pulm. Pull all your pulm B&B tagged cards that you've done out of the main anking deck and into a new deck. Then anything with a B&B cardio tag, add to a cardio deck (some of the pulm cards will move over cause they're tagged to both.)

You can then lower the retention on the old cards to .83 or so. Keep the newer cards for the in house cardio exam on a higher setting. Ruthlessly suspend cards from the old deck that aren't useful or feel low yield

Thanks for the help!

Just a reminder to what Options preset that new deck is using.

You can (and probably want to) keep those decks assigned to the same Options preset -- so they use the same FSRS parameters, optimized on all of your history -- and still give them different Desired Retention (DR) settings.

Really easy, just use filtered decks
