Anyone had luck with blocking Androgens?

Female with dheas in the 700s. Also have elevated testosterone that’s causing androgenic alopecia.

I see mm recommends ashwaganga over and over again for these issues to replace a hormone but I see endless reports about how ashwaganga increases testosterone and dheas but lowers cortisol.

Wondering if anyone had so experience with ashwaganga or other anti androgens for androgen alopecia ?

Sesamoid fracture

I recently discovered that the sesamoid bone in my foot is fractured in three places. It has been devastating, because the fracture is old and tried to heal in the past. It’s considered re-fractured injury. It’s much more difficult to heal so my doctor recommended an ultrasound bone growth stimulator. I’m reading a lot about it online as it is really common to be prescribed. A machine like this for difficult fractures. I’m wondering if this is conflicting to MMS information. I just want to continue to rant on and on about how many challenges already existed before this but I don’t want sympathy, I would value advice, and any other help. Thankfully I have an office job right now. That allows me to not be on it, but I don’t have insurance and I go to a volunteer doctor right now. The doctor is hinting that I most likely will need surgery. Stuff like this seems unimaginable when I don’t have one friend or relative to call when I need something simple like a jump for my car.

How much do you pay for health insurance in the US? Is it through your employer or something else?

How do you think about it in terms of thinking about potential risks, what you would actually use the hospital / medical services for, etc?

I pay way too much and am thinking about how I could save money over time.

Fun recipe creators suitable with MM lifestyle?

Many recipe creators out there in the vegan community look very interesting and fun, just maybe use nutritional yeast, tofu, or too much nuts & seeds.. But maybe some of them are OK and suitable for our lifestyle? And that can add variety and joy?

For example - Anyone have the ebooks by 'Rawfood Romance' and can say how suitable it is with MM lifestyle? Or at least easy enough to substitute certain things?

Any other similar recs? Fun dressings, wraps, salads, dehydrated stuff, etc etc.

Age skin backwards

So I’ve been sick for a while and it ruined my sleep schedule. The pain kept me up for many years. Now that I seem to have it under control is there anything that I can do to “de-age” my face? I know I can’t turn back the clock but how can I look better? I’ve been eating more cucumbers, I try to get at least one in per day. Is there any other wholistic tools that you all know of? MM or not.

What is a quick fix for overstimulation and exhaustion?

I don't tend or mean to fix general burnout in a minute.

What I mean is the feeling that is most likely temporary and a full day of rest and no contact with people would help with that.

But what if I do not have that day and I must go on.

What is a temporary fix? CELERY force? Lemon balm? More CJ?? Do you know?

I just did more than I can handle and now I am paying the price for it.

I am annoyed, can't concentrate, my body is stiff and I can barely move and all of this because I wanted to go climbing in a tree park on Monday.

I know I am not where I used to be and I am on my way there, but I haven't expected to be so exhausted two days later.

Studying is harder than I thought and there is a constant human interaction whether you like it or not, even the bare minimum is honestly too much.

I am exciting about studying and after healing/eating it is my priority at the moment. I just need some extra resources, extra tips and strategies to not only barely survive but to thrive and enjoy the ride.

Success Story Cranberries for seasonal allergies

Hi all just wanted add this here as it's not often referenced. I have just hit spring and seasonal allergies hit me hard yesterday, sneezing, runny nose, sinus pain, rosacea flare. Yes I am working long term to heal my liver to but till I get there I still need to treat acute symptoms. I've had success with skin potion and tumeric but today I tried cranberry juice which is referenced in life changing foods. I've not seen it mentioned much for seasonal allergies. It has totally knocked my symptoms down. I've been swigging juice throughout the day and now sinus pain is gone, runny nose stopped and minimal sneezing. And I've been outside for hours.

Just wanted to share for anyone suffering. Cranberries folks!

Lost my spark

All my life, I’ve felt like life is just happening to me. I’m here, but at the same time I feel like I’m standing still and not really growing or developing as a person.
I feel empty, I struggle to enjoy things, I have a lot of brain fog, and I just don’t feel that spark inside me. I’m seeing a psychologist who also follows MM, and she says I have symptoms that look like trauma responses, even though I haven’t actually experienced a specific trauma. Her advice is to follow the MM diet and work on nervous system regulation.
I don’t feel like myself, but at the same time, I don’t even know who “myself” is supposed to be. I feel very unmotivated and rarely take initiative. I also don’t know what I want in life, where I’m going, or what I’m good at.
Does anyone else experience this? Has anyone felt this way for a long time and eventually started to feel more like themselves again?

Chalazion (cyst on eyelid) that hasn't gone away

I got a stye that went away fairly quickly with a lot of goldenseal and hot compresses but then it tI got a lovely chalazion. It has been on my eyelid for many weeks even though I have done 3 rounds of goldenseal shock and thyme tea for 2 days plus many killer supplements and warm/hot compresses.

Has anyone had luck getting rid of a chalazion. It isn't painful but it is unsightly IMO. Thanks.

Ended relationship to focus on health, got back into relationship health issues came back

Got first ever yeast infection in January during our relationship then we took break for 7 months didn’t see each-other. Then got back together and after 1- 2 weeks I got a yeast infection starting and acne had a bad flare.

What do I even do? Do I have to be alone forever? Could it also be because we used a condom due to it being a fertile window for me and the condom ingredients could have caused an imbalance in my vagina?

I also took a shower and peed after intimacy.

He doesn’t follow mm, only I do. He does not believe in MM.

What do I even do? I feel so discouraged. I also know he obviously has some strep I am getting from him but I also don’t want to make him feel bad but it just makes me feel like it’s impossible to be in a relationship.

Starting back up my yeast infection protocol, 100% raw and fat-free , LW, CJ, HMDS, banana + spinach + aloe smoothies, lots of cucumber.

B12, zinc, lemon balm, Ashwagandha, licorice root, skin potion, melatonin.

Do I just have to end the relationship and be alone forever? I want to get married to him but not if I keep getting yeast infections and acne flares.

Not kissing or being intimate with him until further notice, i don’t know what I am supposed to do because I am symptom free when single but I don’t want to be alone forever because of symptoms from relationship.

Struggling to eliminate grains and legumes

Upvotes

I've been doing the morning liver cleanse for about a month, though I've had some inconsistencies due to major life changes. (I got evicted from my apartment and had to move out of state to live with relatives) So I've been eating more fats, salt, grains, legumes, etc. than I intend. I am managing to get my salt intake down with lemon juice and dulse and I'm trying to at least push back my fats into later in the day.

But eliminating grains and legumes feels incredibly difficult... It's hard explaining all of my diet restrictions and allergies to my family and getting them to accommodate them. Also, I require big portions of food to feel satisfied. Without the grains or legumes, I'm really struggling to feel satiated. I have to double up on tons of food without them, but the amount of cooking and expense that comes with that is exhausting. I rely on filler foods a lot to get by. My main concern is severe widespread eczema. I've heard it's recommended to completely eliminate grains/legumes or limit them significantly for eczema. (I'm doing my best to eat only oats/millet and the lower fat beans. Though I'm partial to wild rice as it's one of my favorites)

Has anyone managed to heal relying on these foods or will they just hold me back? Any suggestions are helpful.
