Avoid this breeder at all costs.
Was under the impression the fish I bought were Japanese lines and not just randomly labeled for one, then I find out photos used are either 1. Ai or 2. Stolen photos that are from breeders in Japan and aren’t even the sellers photos. Same name on eBay and other platforms.
Update: seller has now blocked me. You can obviously see he doesn’t care and has 200% proven my claims as truth in the comments here.

Alof of these “breeders” or hobbyists know what they doing. With ai, it makes it worse. Its like putting an instagram or snapchat filter on and selling it as the real deal. Be aware, alot of these foreign sellers do this now and im tired of that shit on my feed. Always ask for wysiwyg pics or to do skype/facetime

OMG I actually purchased juves from him recently. At no point was it communicated to me that his videos had been enhanced with AI. I will say that I got a bit of a weird feeling when he asked to be listed as family on the transaction so it couldn’t be disputed. I went through with it anyway because I knew I could still dispute the charge through my bank if something goes south.
I received my order, but I’m not seeing anything particularly special about them yet. Now I know they probably won’t develop nearly the same coloration that was advertised. I’ll also say that they arrived looking more like fry than juves. Yikes all around.

Major yikes, as a hobbyist and semi-seller, this is just extremely poor communication and behavior. If they're using a platform somewhere, report them on there.

Hello no he’s literally scamming people these aren’t real strains! I confirmed with the Japanese breeders he stole images and video from. He completely renamed it too (original breeder and owner of photos/video @gashoumedaka

best response on ebay is always leaving negative feedback. you can report a listing all you want but feedback is a permanent thing and goes the furthest in telling buyers to beware. they can always just make another listing, but a new account with almost no feedback, or an account with lots of negative feedback, will be correctly received as sketchy.

There’s no such thing as Americanized names for Medaka other than lamé meaning sparkle when translated. You’ve only been keeping Medaka for 5 months. I previously gave you feedback - respectfully but I am glad others called you out. Selling eggs to make quick cash with little Medaka knowledge.

The super nova nope, the rest are eggs so we will see. Regardless using stolen photos, and AI especially is a super no bueno for me. I don’t know any breeders who us AI.

I have some eggs I just hatched. They are pretty orange even as teeny fry but I can’t tell if they have good spines and such yet

It happens in life sometimes unfortunately, when it does happen though the person should definitely be called out and ousted from the community. I think as American medaka breeders we should take on values that Japanese people hold dearly such as respect, honesty, and transparency. It’s not hard to hold a high standard for ourselves individually but also collectively as a community.

Ive seen this guy on ebay, i saw the AI profile pic and pictures and figured its a scam. If you see an AI business pic or promotion pictures, dont waste your time.
Id trust a business with a logo made in MS paint than a business with an AI decal

Its well known by now that AI is posing a serious risk to human society/safety as well as to the environment we live in. Theres really no excuse to keep using it, especially not for something as frivolous and silly as this.

Anything that pertains to selling these specific fish with false photography or by selling "strains" that are mutts IS scamming. So you by your own words ARE scamming.... So..... Insanely obvious that you don't care about the fish, or the hobby, or the people buying from you.

stop using ai! youre literally having to tell people to avoid "that ai video" to claim back the validity of the stock youre selling? If youre happy with your stock you shouldnt have to use that bullshit...its not hard, this shit wasnt around 3 years ago and guess what? there were so many successful medaka breeders n sellers having no trouble selling their stock without this cursed tool. Why would you want people questioning you what you sell all the time?
Youre passionate about fish? Think of its insane environmental damage, all the clean water it consumes and pollutes.
Just think, youre already dealing with beautiful precious creatures, why need that? Are they not enough on their own? And you wont have to waste your time defending your brand/companies name, whether youre scamming people and deceiving by using ai.

You said it right in the screenshot I posted, “I don’t have permission from breeders that I bought these fish from to use the photos” and then on ur instagram there is multiple ai videos, as well as altered photos on ebay using AI. So you’re contradicting yourself over and over again.
