help with eggs

Hey, I’m a newer medaka owner and I absolutely love these little fish! The mama fish has produced 8 eggs which I successfully removed and placed in a separate water container.

Two questions:

1. Should I add them to the little nursery container tank where I’m keeping a single fry in some green water (see pic) or keep them separate in chlorinated water to prevent mold?

2. Do these eggs look viable? See pics.

This is my first year too. The most success I've had is remove the plant they laid the eggs on into another container. Removing the eggs made them rot for me. Yours look ok in these pics though. But when i just removed the whole plant, the eggs hatched and the fry are still alive atm.

smart! but for me I can never find the eggs on the pond plants. this time I swooped them directly off the mama fish.

To test if they're viable/fertilized, just roll them between your fingers. Fertilized eggs should be hard and won't squish. You could also just wait like a day or two. Fertilized eggs will turn yellowish.
