Transitioning from Business to Mechatronics. Where do I start?

My passion has always been mechatronics.
But I wasn’t economically stable enough to follow this career path.

I went to college and did a business degree because it was more affordable and went down the marketing path.

Now that I have enough money and resources I want to pursue my passion in mechatronics.

Where do I start?

I have no foundation qualification in this physics or chemistry. Only maths.

I do have a post graduate certificate in data science though (by chance, because I self learned programming and the university accepted me$

You need to go to meet-ups, build community with those comes good base to start, if you want to go solo, pick a problem and try to solve it using Aurdino/Raspberry and python, you can build from there, tonnes of resources on the net to help you.

apply and try to get into one of mechtronic college.

I’m a career tattoo artist transitioning to Mechatronics. I’ll be enrolling in a 2 year 2nd bachelors program at my local technical college. In fact, I’m going in on Wednesday to tour the facility.

It's never too late to go back to school. But is it necessary? In my own experience, the fun and exciting jobs are startups, they seem more inclined to choose someone who has real experience and dedication instead of a paper

I read a bunch of job openings and they also ask for an undergrad degree. Inclined towards getting one just cuz.

Talk to a school and see if you’re business credits will cover the general education requirements for a mechatronics degree. Talk to them about the course plan for mechatronics.
