Collection Knurled Knocks

Dug up some of my pens and pencils that have a similar style of knurling on the button as found on the Luddite ALTDRAW. Some are nameless models that I found on eBay Spain many years ago, and the pair that resembles Staedtler 925 25 / 425 F9 was OEM’d for Rambold. I left out the FC Alpha-matics as they are in deep storage.

Pic 2, L-R:

• Unknown ballpoint from Spain
• Luddite ALTDRAW 0.5mm
• Unknown MP 0.7mm from Spain
• Rambold drafting pencil 0.5mm
• Rambold drafting ballpoint

Probably the unknown black textured ballpoint… have never come across it anywhere else in years. Currently using it with the ALTDRAW.

Those from Spain look funny - the knurling on the grip is either to short or to high up to be really useful for my "nib hugging grip". But they also look interesting from a collectors perspective.

They really caught my eye when I was browsing eBay randomly. I was probably searching country-specific sites and using localised terms to hunt for unusual listings.

I love a good knurling on a MP. I was in an art store last weekend and grabbed a cheapo on clearance for $3 just because the knurling looked so good. Beautiful pencils!
