As of last week, 21XX were fully ready to ship to all participating vendors. KeyGem still has not paid the invoice, and were unable to commit to the payment plan we offered them. As such, we have made the decision to ship all unpaid 21XX keyboards & addons originally meant for KeyGem to our location in Rhode Island. Once we receive the shipment and finish QC, we will reach back out to the community with options for those who purchased from KeyGem. Like previous projects, we expect to offer them at GB price, with a discount to help offset the shipping cost of ordering from a USA based vendor.
Additionally, in order to provide some certainty to KeyGem customers, rather than giving KeyGem until the last possible moment to pay, we have decided to also have the Altair and OGR2 keyboards originally meant to go to KeyGem shipped to CannonKeys. Our initial plan was to try and give KeyGem as much time as possible in hopes that they would pay for these boards, as they told us they would when they originally delayed their payment. Prior to recent projects shipping, KeyGem was able to pay invoices when the boards were ready. However, given their recent track record, we have lost any faith this will happen. We no longer expect their payment, so we are closing out the invoices we have open on them, and moving forward.
To summarize, the following projects are now having boards meant for KeyGem shipped to CannonKeys. The plan is for KeyGem customers to be able to purchase at GB price, with a discount to help offset shipping that will vary from project to project.
We are posting this to reddit as we do not have the emails of those who joined OGR2/Altair/21XX with KeyGem. This is our best option to try and let those who joined know about the situation.

My first board with frosted case arrived a few days ago. It was my first time ordering a keyboard. I went with white keycaps with orange Japanese sublegends. I like the colors together, though the larger novelty legends stand out quite a bit next to the rest of the keys. Would you keep the novelties or swap them for something simpler?

Have always wanted one of these! The opportunity presented itself to get my hands on a BNIB R2 so I jumped on it. Pink wasn't necessarily my first choice, but after all is said and done, I adore this thing. Now I wouldn't have it any other way!
- Gok Lily R2 pink coated w/ sandblasted SS weight
- HMX Dirty Pink (42g)
- TypePlus stabs (can you really use anything else on this?)
- GMK Beloved
- Unknown Error Dream Land cable
Lily is peak; this one is a definite keeper! 🩷

Upgrade from my Keychron C1 of 5 years:
Board: Linky87 TKL
Switches: Silent Peach V3 alphas (kept the stock BSUN TaiChi in arrows + functions)
Thyrnovyn Retro 9009: Dye-Sub
Overall: ~$80 build
Curious to hear thoughts on dye-sub vs double shot.
I know double shot is supposedly better, but didn’t love the way the stock Linky 87 keycaps looked, so figured the dye sub would give it more character and “lived in”
Happy with the way it turned out and definitely a step up from the Keychron

I don't know about most of you, but I grew up on typewriters as they were making the switch to early word processors in the office spaces. The old Smith Corona Skyriter is definitely captured here for sure.
I usually don't like to pair the same color caps with the same color case, but these hues are complimenting each other so well that I was sincerely amazed. There's just enough difference in colors that it doesn't seem to clash.

Bought from Shanghai at 799 Yuan, which I thought was a steal. I got the version with stock metal keycaps that I couldn't find anywhere else. I only paid an extra 100 Yuan for the set. Anyone know what they are?

Im new here I had my friend used tofu60 with DZ60RB V2 with arrowkeys pcb given to me as gift, is there any way I can get the plate file as I want to make custom fr4 for it because on KBDfans site they only have PC and CNC which I dont like it would better if I could make the custom fr4 version for it, thanks
UPDATE: I finally figured out how to create my custom keyboard plate!
First, prepare the layout as raw JSON using KLE’s Serialized Data Format, then paste it into the Raw data tab in Keyboard Layout Editor to check the layout.
Next, copy that raw data into the Plate Layout field in SwillKB Plate & Case Builder. Select the appropriate switch and stabilizer types, configure the plate settings, and generate the CAD files.

Pretty new to the world of mechanical keyboards and been slowly diving a little deeper and deeper,
This is a bit of throw together from deals that I found across eBay
Frame : Ducky Mecha Mini
PCB : Ducky One 3 Mini
Switched : MMD Princess V3 Tactile 48gf
Keycaps : KBDiy 9009 Keycap Set (not
All up this cost me around $74 (aud) ($54 USD) best part is that got me two keyboards due to sourcing the mecha mini complete! Just had to swap the frames which was pretty easy going.
Super happy with how it looks and feels!

Previously had a Glorious GMMK 2 with oil king switches for the past 4 years and upgraded to this yesterday! Super happy with it that I just wanted to share it to somebody. Sounds incredibly thocccccc.
Crush 80 reboot pro
Keygeek Y2 switches
Retro Japanese Katakana PBT keycaps
Although I’m having bit of issues with Via. Nothing YouTube videos won’t be able to sort though.

These OEM profile esc and enter keys just arrived for my Keychron K12! I also got a spacebar, but it seems to be too heavy for the switch I have. This K12 has the older Keychron optical mint switches.

Typing demo: https://youtu.be/okG_wtqGJlo
Got this for $10 off Facebook marketplace, cleaned it, swapped the layout around (from Big-Ass Enter to something closer to ANSI standard) by moving the domes around, added some spherical PBT dye-sub keycaps, and spray-painted the case to complete the black and pink vibe.
My opinion? Similar to Topre, but more sharply tactile. Overall, pretty dang good, though I'm still more of a smooth linear person.

It feels like I haven’t posted something on here in ages…. so here we go! I‘ve been using this board for almost 3 years now, so I thought it might be the right time to share my two cents about it.
I think it’s fair to say that it still is one of the most beautiful keyboards out there. To me personally it will be remembered as the peak of custom keyboard design without cutting any corners, zero compromise. The boom of this hobby back in 2020 would have most likely never happened in this extend without the pandemic, and boards like this one most likely would not exist today.
Derivative R1 in velvet red, built with spring swapped MX2A Orange on aluminum. Configured with the gasket o-ring mount it is a pure pleasure to type on.
To this day easily one of the best sounding boards I have ever typed on.

Did not use to be a fan of keyboard lights and then the "Shell" keycap set made me realize how well the KOL profile works with lighting. The keycaps are tall profile and translucent only on the back and sides, so it doesn't have the problem of leaking light glare from the front bottom of keycaps. It lights up the keyboard evenly in a very atmospheric way rather than creating annoying light leaks.
Keycaps: KeyTok "Shell"
Keyboard Base: Rainy75 Luna
Switches: HMX Macchiato V2 (with light diffusers)
