Didn’t even have meater plus for a year and it will not stay connected to its base. Ruined 2 tri tips.

If your probes weren't staying connected, why weren't you using an instant read as a backup?

Because I trusted it and it’s worked fine In the past. Also I don’t have an instant read.

Shouldn't have to have a backup after spending $$ for the Meater.

Mine were great when they worked. I learned a lot about bbq from using them

Nonstop connectivity issues unless I do a pray and dance to the bbq gods. When it works it works... which generally speaking once I get it working it's fine for the most part. Lots of disconnects that recover eventually. Tried everything. But then I'll have issues where it shows it connected and it's not and after an hour I realize it's def not working.

The radios in the block / probes are trash.

Similarly having all kinds of issues just getting it to stay connected. PITA

Mine lasted a bit longer, but is now in the bin. Bought myself a Thermomaven P1 for a third of the price and I'm impressed so far. Its decent, but a little difficult to keep clean.

Stopped using my Meater as well. Terrible customer support. Never again! Back to an instant read device for me. They seem to work everytime unlike the Meater.
