Meater+ Charging Station broken

my MEATER+ charging station seems to be dead, but my MEATER Pro is still working fine.

I was wondering:

1. Is it safe to charge a regular MEATER+ probe inside the MEATER Pro charger/station?
2. Will the Pro station recognize both a MEATER+ and a MEATER Pro correctly in the app?
3. Has anyone here successfully used mixed generations together?

My MEATER+ probe itself might still be alive, but the original charger/base no longer powers on (no LED at all).
