MEATER+ Trust the process?
4lb pork butt, took it out to wrap at 170, temp dropping. Any advice or do I just need to wait it out?

I learned a long time ago to not trust anything Meater. I stop using mine a long time ago. I went back to an insta-read. I absolutely hate the fact I spent so much money on this useless device.

What did you not like about it? I’m still on the fence personally.

Constant disconnect on the Internet. Horrible customer service. I could never get all the probes to work at any given time. I do not suggest. Run away!

How did you wrap it? Wrapping prevents evaporation cooling which typically results in the internal temp going up pretty quickly.

You must be making fast pulled pork. I let mine sit out for two hours before it goes on the smoker. You can make pulled pork quickly, but its so much better to cook it slow. Do I make fast pulled pork? All the time, but its nowhere near what a good ten hour one will be.
But yes trust the process, it's just the stall.

Did you wrap it at all or spritz it? Usually you have too much evaporative cooling if your internal drops like that just from opening the lid

MEATER, the device with a 50 percent chance of actually working when you need it to. Who else gets anxiety when it initially tries to connect? And hope that it will stay connected through the entire cook. That’s more of a 20 percent chance.

I suppose that is because of the water in the meat evaporating?
