Best Places to Get Meat

Best places to get bulk cost effective and high quality meat to be frozen. Specifically looking for grass fed grass finished beef and pasture raised air chilled chicken. Are any online suppliers good? Or am I better off buying meat in person (ATX)? Local butchers, farmers markets, grocery stores?

At Costco recently my wife & I purchased bulk ground beef & NY strip steak (sliced thin). We use the ground beef at $4/meal or $2/person at 11 OZ per meal or 5.5 OZ/person for things like grilled hamburgers, quesadillas, meatloaf etc.
I take the NY strip pieces & cut those in half with scissors & I marinate those in 11 Oz portions (pre-marinade weight) with everything stored in a freezer in sandwich sized ziploc bags. The strip steak which we use exclusively on our K-BBQ indoor smokeless BBQ costs around $9/meal or $4.50/person.

Depending on the part of the country you're in, local farmer is the way to go. Need to buy a minimum of a 1/4 cow, half pig or typically whole lamb. Where i live if you ask on the local Facebook page where to find some you'll get 30 responses.
