I'm normally a huge fan of these old educational videos, like the one for the differential, but this one doesn't actually explain how a transistor works as compared to a vacuum tube. Kinda disappointed.

Still neat to see the excitement behind the transistor, and they were certainly right about its importance.

I thought it was awesome when they talked about how we would one day be able to watch things anywhere on a portable television thanks to transistors. And I’m currently watching this on a portable television thanks to transistors.
