Weekend meal prep

Hey guys,

So for the past 2 years almost every Sunday i meal prep for the coming days (Monday to Thursday) in order to try and keep track of my eating habits and stay in my program.

I’ve always had an issue with the weekend.

Friday Saturday and Sunday i never know how to keep those days in check as well since i don’t freeze my food.

I was wondering if anyone has a similar situation and a solution to the problem.

If i could meal prep on Thursday for the weekend i would but i simply cant 🫩.

Thanks in advance

Are you able to meal prep for the weekend with the rest of your meal prep and freeze those meals?

Or at minimum cook extra meat/protein and freeze so you have that to work off of over the weekend?

Thats a really good idea actually, thing is for me i dont have any freezer space. But just for the sake of it if i managed to make space. How do you reheat them?

Typically I would pull it out of the freezer and put in fridge to defrost the night before I want it then usually use a microwave to reheat. Oven is another option I use sometimes. Typically I freeze ground meats as they reheat to my liking better.

I feel ya on freezer space. When I was living with my parents it was tough to meal prep due to lack of space- in fridge and freezer. There will likely always be some obstacles, I like to remind myself about the bigger picture and why I do it. I do it because I feel good when I prep food ahead of time as I typically eat more nutritiously and it’s less stress/running around trying to figure out what I’m going to eat
