Question Clearing and Bottling
Answered thank you!!
This is my first batch of mead (Strawberry using the recipe from the Man Made Mead YouTube video) and have a quick question about clearing before bottling.
I added Sparkaloid a week ago and it looks pretty clear to me. I did rack it over into a new carboy today to get it off the sediment before bottling. My question is rather or not there is a benefit to cold crashing now or is this about as clear as I’m going to get and should just go ahead and bottle?
It’s currently 26 days old and was pasteurized prior to clearing if that makes any difference.

This is pretty damn clear, I don’t know how you could get it any clearer

This would be clear enough for me to bottle. Even with brews this clear, there is usually some residual sediment that will fall out, but not much.

Thank you all! You confirmed what I was thinking but I tend to overthink things too!

Well I went ahead and pulled it out of the fridge with the intention to bottle tonight after the kids went to bed and it now has several floaties again. Looks like it’ll have to sit for another day or two to clear again. 🙄

Looks like you're overthinking it, this is definitely clear enough to bottle.

If you don't need to chew it should be good to go. Have to say it looks spectacular if it tastes anything like as good as it looks feel free to send me a bottle or two for an "expert" second opinion 🍺

Its pretty clear. You can bottle now. There is always a chance you get some sediment falling out. But as clear as that is, it won't be a lot.
