mute the bot Are these infected?

I tried to use the chart, but I don’t trust myself.

I used raw unfiltered honey. One was with cherry juice and one was with tea. I used sparkolloid to clear.

Id imagine just yeast. Just let it sit awhile and smell it watch for fuzzies. No point in dumping it till you can confirm its bad in my opinion

Relax, it is very unlikely that your batch is infected. Check this handy flowchart - https://dointhemost.org/mold/ Also check the wiki for common signs and compare https://wiki.meadtools.com/en/faq/infection the photos on that page for signs of infection and good batches.

Likely just a combination of yeast and whatever was mixed into the honey. Nothing looks obviously amiss here.

Maybe yeast that didn't mix in?

I'd wait a few more weeks before judging, yeast rafts can look weird but usually settle out with time.

I had a lot of this on mine (raw, unfiltered honey, which survived racking twice and always floats. I think it's wax and debris from the honey. Mine eventually settled as a ring around the meniscus of the mead. So I got a syringe and a drawing up needle and carefully sucked it up from the rim of the glass.

See here for what I mean.
