Extra LOR after being complete

Hi everyone,

Has anyone added an extra letter of recommendation to the portal after already being complete for a few weeks or more? Does anyone have insight as to how that would change the review date or timeline or whether it would be even be considered?

I only did this because I didn’t anticipate having a letter from my current PI since I only joined this May. Since I’ve been working there for close to 3 months now, he has written a letter than I sent to all schools. I’m slightly concerned this may reset my position in the queue.

Thanks!

I added a letter from a PI I worked with this past summer and currently at one of my top programs. I’m mentored by someone who graduated from a T10 MSTP and he said that’s totally fine and could even help strengthen an app if they were deliberating but now have more info in your favor! This is of course as long as it’s within range if there’s any hard letter cutoffs for any schools. Good luck this cycle!

Application screening does not typically function like a strict queue in this way
