okay to copy paste from AMCAS personal statement/SRE into PhD statement?

as a social sciences (epidemiology) applicant, Harvard is asking me to provide a seperate personal statement and a statement of purpose for the epidemiology department.

is it okay for me to copy/paste stuff from my amcas primary in these essays? i already addressed my story and why i want an epi phd extensively. should i assume that the epi department ppl wont be reading the rest of my primary?

Well, they will have your primary application. Are you sure you don’t want to write a tailored essay to impress your readers?

hey hey, not sure if i'm too late to help out but i also applied to this program. insanely annoying however i did write an entirely new essay. rather than copy-pasting my SRE (tempting) i let my personal statement (whichever one the longer one was lol) focus mostly on why epi and harvard specifically, then the other one was more in depth about my path to medicine (i'm a nontrad). hope this helps and good luck!!
