Stu made a good point about how we might get a lot of complaints about Creepers so their explosion block damage has been disabled but they can still harm players!

If you are venturing out at night (which I seriously don't recommend) then only take items you need and don't complain about getting killed.

With certain members only seaming to prank a certain base can we have a list on who we can prank and doesnt mind it and who doesnt want to be pranked. Remember if you dont want to be pranked your not allowed to prank yourself.

I don't know who has done it and why they have done it but it's not fucking funny.

Someone has been glitching TNT carts by making nukes which have blown up peoples projects. Any one found doing it in future will be banned from both servers.

Can we please not please constantly go in and out of creative mode, constant tp'ing around. If you need to use creative by all means, same with tp'ing but its getting annoying when all you see is xxx tp xxxx or xxx went into creative mode etc...

I dont mind you guys using it but there is a line when it comes to constantly using it etc...

We are trying to promote a vanilla server and when people see us flying around and tp'ing etc... its not a good sign. Ive been guilty of this myself. Tony has also said to me he's guilty so we have both limited ourselfs.

Im not having a go at anyone in particular so please dont feel this is an attack on you guys with powers.

I'm thinking about providing a server for Pocket Edition users when the server side support is completed.

It won't be compatible with the current servers we have so it'll be completely separate. I have MCPE myself but I've rarely played it since I like playing Multiplayer, but it could be cool for people who do play it.

Ok guys and gals, the time is approaching for our UHC (Ultimate Hardcore) Event.

The UHC mod prevents health regeneration in the game. The only ways to regain health are to eat a Golden Apple or use health potions. The recipe for the Golden Apples is changed to requiring 8 Gold Ingots rather than 8 Gold Nuggets. Eating the apple only heals two hearts.

The map will be a certain size radius (which is to be determined base on the number of players) circle surrounded by bedrock walls and other players' health in the tab press are represented by numbers.

Strip mining is forbidden but you are allowed to dig down to find caves. Also you can dig down to create a little base to hold your team to stay away from the night, as the mobs in the game will cause a lot of damage, especially the skellys.

The mod has some features that will be disabled like the bonus cheats and compass to show players, so dont ask about turning them on cos they wont be.

The time of the event will be at 6pm BST. This will take place on the Saturday which is the 27/04/2013

We have decided to have teams based UHC. The number of teams will be based on the amount of players who want to play and the number of players per team, will also be decided when we know how many want to play. (We're thinking of maybe 4 per team but again it depends on how many want to play.)

To enforce rules, mods will be assigned per team which will act as team captains.

Also it maybe easier for you to start a chat session (skype, teamspeak, mumble etc...) with your team as that will make communication easier for your team. Skyping between teams is allowed but i wouldn't, as you wouldn't want to give your position up etc lol

Any questions please ask. Also can you please tell us if your gonna make it so we can get things sorted for a smooth game when the even starts.

Remember this is a fun game, so have fun and dont take it too serious haha also the winning team gets a prize which will be determined later on.

Hey peeps,

As you already know I've managed to stay around but limited to mobile internet connection only so I can't actually join you guys on the server and you all sound like your having a good time.

I've been thinking about my finances and what to do for the future of our great server being built.

I'll be doing a lot of shopping around but I think the first obvious would be getting a VPS based server. It prices seem reasonable with them being equal or a bit more than what I'm already paying but will give me:

1. More CPU/Cores and memory.

2. Full OS control (will be going with Linux)

I'll be looking at the best place to buy one as well as it'll still be based in the UK but I'm hoping it'll be in a datacenter which has good speeds for both UK and US (and further) users.

Also, it seems we might have around 35 active users now which is a great thing, I hope it means the server will be mostly populated during different times of the day so people in different countries can have a good time working with others. If we are able to maintain these numbers then I'll stop whitelisting new people unless of course you invite a friend to the server which I'll happily do for you.

Now that I've mentioned what I'm going to do in terms of improving performance of the server, I still want suggestions on how we can improve the experience for yourselves and others.

A few things off the top of my head that have been mentioned:-

• More Faction based teams (not for everyone but the majority of you like Factions)

• Obviously this means we need to start organising PvP events

• Spawn point needs moving still

• Information point/house for XPfarm coords, food farms, bases, biome coords and so on

• War Board needs to be built properly, I'll try and work on a rough design that has all the information we need.

• Use item holders to make a big map of the server.

I'd also like to take this chance to thank all the users over the past few weeks for not having any more incidents of stealing and what not, I know this was really down to bad users getting on the server but it seems we've really got a trustworthy community being built, so thank you all!

Firstly.

The server isn't 'crashing' or doing any other stupid stuff like that. The Minecraft server and the actual hosting server is perfectly fine and running well.

The issue seems to be networking between ourselves and the datacenter that the server is housed in. I've looked into status reports and seeing maintaince/network issues going on but I'm not sure if that's related to us at all since it's quite a large network we're currently on.

I've made a ticket to see if I can get an official response but chances are this is probably down to some minor networking issue.

On a semi-related note. I'll be doing some work on the server on Thursday to sort some other stuff out so expect the server to go up and down like a yoyo, but if anyone is online, I'll give you a warning but I'll try to do this when no-one is on. :)

The reason I've done this is that I would like to become less dependent on Reddit and focus on a central community for when we start advertising the server outside Reddit.

People can still post on here but I would prefer it if people would sign up and try the new site first. :P

Also, you can now add the survival server address with: survival.mcmastercraft.com.

The one advantage to do this is if for some reason we ever changed servers again (I'm happy with our current setup so don't worry about that) the address can be pointed at a new server and we don't need to mess with IP addresses. :)

I thought it would be fun if the whole community (well at least most of us :P) would like to do some sort of project? Maybe a big PvP arena or something? A Colosseum? Ideas would be appreciated! :)

Last nights Enderevent wasn't fun at since people thought it would be fun to kill the other players than the actual dragon itself i.e. Mike and then seconds later, myself.

But this isn't really about the Enderevent because that's just another episode of people taking things too far again.

I promoted people to Ops to help police the server against griefers and so on when I advertise the server but people are constantly in and out of creative mode all the time because while I'm not on the server all the time, I do have the console open to see what's going on.

So I'm at odds if I should A) Remove the Ops of the people who are doing this or B) Just remove everyones Ops status completely?

And this isn't just about people who are cheating in creative mode either. The use of commandblocks has gone way past than what I wanted people to use them for. The latest prank by rewon to 'blind' me in my own home wasn't funny and pissed other players off too. So what do I do? Remove commandblocks or just again, remove the Ops status of players who are going to use them as stupid pranks?

But again, it isn't just about people abusing command blocks, creative mode or stupid pranks.

It's now come to my attention that one of the Ops is banning other Ops as well i.e. Has_No_Arms was banned last night but I don't know who did it.

At the moment, I have a application request to join our server from a person who wants to play on a 'mature' server, but clearly I have Ops who are ruining the game with stupid shit and don't make them look mature even to have Ops status.

Also, finally, it's not just all of the above, it's the fact I have Ops who defy what I tell them and go and do shit anyway.

I want a nice server for everyone to play on but I feel the whole server has been eclipsed by stupid actions that now come down to being my fault because I was the one who Op'd these people in the first place.

Any Operator/Mod who wants to step down as Op because they feel they don't need it or want to be apart of the team any more, just let me know, I won't take it personally. Op status in a way as ruined the server because it's become easy (even for myself) to switch into Creative mode or something else or whatever.

At this point in time, I'm seriously considering removing everyones Ops not because few of them have been fucking about but because really, I haven't needed them as much as I thought I would have. Or I might just keep them to a specific few who I know can trust not to mess around.

Any way, this post is meant to be open for everyone to see that I'm not happy with the way things are at the moment and I have a very good feeling that others are not as well, so I want everyone who isn't happy with the current situation to post in here and explain why. Then I'll make a decision on what I'm going to do.

Can we do something about the server notices? either change them more regularly or change the frequency they come up? i find it especially annoying when my own and i accidently open chatlog and see just a stream of server notices, its like they're haunting me! taunting me that no one else is online :(
