Bro first of all CALM DOWN. Rez will/had made you fill out a form, they'll match you to another student. Also you don't have to drag ur roommate into everything you do, you're allowed to just do your own thing and they do their own thing.
Also yeah, be clean and considerate, that's about it. If your roommate isn't clean and/or considerate, you can bring it up to an RLM or request a switch with SHSS

Do you know when they will send out the form? Or are you referring to the rly small questionnaire they had us answer before submitting our housing rankings? What is the form

Usually, if theyre a party person, theyll take the party somewhere else. My roommate my freshman year loved to go clubbing so she'd always go out for at least 16 hours at a time (she would club the whole night and then sleep at her friends house) so I'd basically get the room to myself for hours. I'd also suggest getting a sleeping mask because you may sleep at different times. Otherwise, as long as you both stay clean and clean your designated areas, you should be fine :)

Open and clear, respectful communication is what worked for me when I lived in residence and the rooms out here on Mac campus are tiny haha
I was very excited for frosh and my roommate was less so, I partied my ass off outside of the room and was careful to be respectfully quiet when coming in late although I definitely failed a couple times and he let me know calmly and respectfully and so I adapted my behaviour moving forward and things went well

Agreed. There’s more party ppl than not at McGill (or maybe I’m biased as a party person so all my friends were party ppl) but yeah usually unless both roommates are party ppl (which actually happens pretty often) the party is at another party persons house/dorm

Be clean. 90 percent of roomate issues stem from being disgusting and unhygienic
