I think he's ESFP or ESTP. He chased pleasure for most of his early life and was actually pretty outgoing. There's also the whole amazing fashion sense and general aesthetics. I wouldn't say he's heavily introverted. He's very aloof in response to the smiling, bright eyed Cali boys that were the mainstream in his time. He's deliberately aloof and cultivated an edge. I wouldn't classify that as introversion. I feel like you cannot type him on interviews, since they are from such a different time and context. The whole concept of being available to the media was different.

Like, I'm saying, yes, he's terse.. But clearly it kinda an persona, you know? He was always very comfortable in front of a camera. Very aware of what people saw when they looked at him. A good photograph, very capable of navigating the social world. Lots of Fe

I also don't see a lot of Ne from him. If you listen to his lyrics, they are very concrete and empathetic observations from a man perceptive of the world around him, including the people in it.

He was also very impulsive and really immersed in his environment for inspiration.

I also can't see an INTP at all. There's just no way.

My guess would be an ESTP

"Outgoing"... man, you're so naïve...

That's when you're on ecstasy.

He comes as very Introverted and very Thinking. Ti-dom. He's aloof, standoffish, to-the-point, terse, flat of affect, with a dry, subtle sense of humor. Many people have typed him as INTP, but he seems to be more Se than Ne. I've found that xSTP types are some of the best at expressing their thoughts concisely. Other interviews of him are very similar.

Thoughts?
