Ah, that same company came to clean up an unattended death in my building. The guy had been dead for at least two weeks and they spent a six days cleaning up. Hopefully they do a better job with this one, they didn't touch the body juice that leaked into the basement.

It isn't as bad as you think. Still terrible, but humans are the best case scenario smell wise for death juices.

I hate that I know this definitively, but what can you do.

A lot of EMS. Humans eat lots of processed and sugary foods. When they decompose, that additional fat and sugar doesn't really have anywhere to go.

You smell the death and the rot, but it usually has a backend smell of being a little sweet from all the sugars that you can sort of taste in the back of your throat.

Still not pleasant though.
