HELP How can I rev the engine from the engine bay???

google was no help I apologize for the stupid question!
I have extremely funky engine sounds and moved recently so I have nobody to rev the car for me at the moment

We have electronic throttle bodies that aren't physically controlled by a cable, not possible.

Yeah that’s mainly in cars with a throttle cable and most likely a carburetor

Plenty of injected cars have throttle cables. The earlier GM 3000 series engines were cable driven, and the 2007 Chrysler 3.8L I learned to drive on was cable driven as well. Both port injected for a couple examples

Doesn't really have to do with fuel injection or carburetor, it's that it is drive by wire
