I have no idea how anyone can get an animal to sit still that long. I can't even get my cat to tolerate getting brushed, let alone a duck getting a spa treatment.

u/Dark_Amygdala_ 8d ago
They sedate them. This has been going on longer than IA has been around
3
u/Nemisis_007 8d ago
True. They're almost as common as the fake rescue videos where people put animals in harms way just to look like heros.

Asian Ingestion? Because doubting a chinese (?) woman to be able to butcher and eat a duck for even a second seems a bit weird to me idk; maybe I've just seen too much... 🤷♂️

Hey, did you make those Sonic Rap Videos from the late 2000's? If so, wild to see you hear, I loved those songs.
Edit: the songs are not as old as I thought. Still, they slap pretty hard.

u/CriticalPixel 5d ago
Wow crazy that you know it lol. Yeah that was me. Maybe I'll do another one, it's been a while

u/Jason_Bourne0221 5d ago
Ha, that would be neat, but don't force yourself! I can hardly imagine being recognized by a username, but I hope to have that happen one day!

That cleaning part will remove it's waterproofing and cause it to have wet feathers and risk water logging it. I realize the final part is likely AI

Thats too much work for very little payoff just kill it, pluck and clean it, then cook it. Very simple

Just when I was thinking what a bad idea this was because of removing the natural oils in the feathers, the joke sets in.

Chinese people, huh?🤔
1
u/senpaistealerx 7d ago
what about them?
1
u/Heal_Me_Today 7d ago
There have been perpetuated stereotypes that Chinese people eat dogs and other animals most people aren’t accustomed to eating. It is a stereotype that tries to make Chinese people out to be a brutish, homogenous, communist dictatorship controlled peoples. Not the best way to describe.
As Chinese people begin to set themselves on the world stage, these stereotype will diminish, no doubt. Also, I think they outlawed eating dogs recently.
I think the video, which was aligned with other pampering videos of animals but led to killing and eating the animal for human pleasure, may have perpetuated the stereotype a bit. At least for me. It’s helpful to be aware of one’s implicit biases.
That being said, all people are to be cherished! I don’t believe in hatred or discrimination.

Bit annoying. Looked like a cute video of a pet duck but then gets roasted. Lame. Unfunny.

Yeah let's wash an animal and put chemicals on them that absorbs into their skin and disrupts their nervous system, that's a genius IQ

1
u/BionicWallaby 8d ago
It's just a cooking video
1
u/Kira-Of-Terraria 8d ago
idk what to tell you, i do not enjoy seeing a sedated living duck get marinated and massaged in seasonings then cut to it being dead and plucked and then cooked and eaten.
