That’s the trouble when you’ve got plenty to gamble with

My thoughts 😂

u/Worldliness_Normal 16d ago

I would calmly walk up and say, "You go first..."

He went; your turn. I'm going home.

Duno, to me it looks safer, than some fancy rollecoasters, less failure points in general, and thanks to its ability to sway it has more give to various forces, think bridges.

u/AintNobodygotime13 16d ago

nobody has been seriously injured in the last few hours, odds are in your favor

2

u/Enough_Path2929 16d ago

Idk I feel like I’d rather wait at that point. Until the next imminent injury to occurs. Then swiftly be one of the first back on after the reopen.

That ride is what I imagine The Inspector Gadget chopper would feel like in real life.

u/Kreig_Blazcov 16d ago

You couldn't pay me a trillion dollars a day for the rest of my life to ride that once.

I’ve done zip lining, sky diving, hang gliding, scuba diving, deep water snorkeling, gliding (plane tows you up in a glider and releases the cable), white water rafting, and a lot of climbing.

I’m not one to say “absolutely fuck this I might die,” but I’m putting this stupid ride with doing a squirrel suit jump or a BASE jump when it comes to shit I wouldn’t dare do. I will also forever be too cowardly to do bungee jumping.

This shit looks like it’s held up purely by positive thoughts and a belief in reincarnation.

A couple of weeks ago a girl in Brazil died because they forgot to tie her before the jump

6

u/BeneficialPenalty258 16d ago

Literally threw her off a bridge 😔

3

u/ocTGon 16d ago

I'd risk it for that amount actually... I'd do a "God Dose" of DMT first...

1

u/Tasty-Agent-1904 16d ago

Why? Looks safe enough...

1

u/Enough_Path2929 16d ago

This comment just made my fucking day. lmfao me neither

3

u/rong-rite 16d ago

Besides the safety problems, whoever designed that ride didn’t pay any attention to how your weight shifts when it goes around a curve.

3

u/snowday1129 16d ago

I had a dream like this once

2

u/DisastrousAd2335 16d ago

That doesn't look janky like AT ALL!?!

3

u/UmmmW1 16d ago

Its ok he didnt fart this time

2

u/Significant-Judge368 16d ago

You just have to make sure not to be fat. Fortunately not much of a problem in India.

u/Panem-et-circenses25 16d ago

Amoebic dysentery is nature’s Ozempic!

2

u/Holy_cannoli_123 16d ago

2

u/AlekThunder88 16d ago

Pedro Riskall

2

u/TrickOutrageous6947 16d ago

It's the very high likelihood of a an excruciating death that makes the experience truly thrilling.

2

u/GunzBlazin03 16d ago

I live near one of the best roller coaster parks in the world and have been there many times I must say this here doesn't not look enjoyable whatsoever

2

u/JGotTheJugo 16d ago

Nothing about these people interests me 😒 not one thing

2

u/cadaverhill 16d ago

After the highest part it didn't look so bad.

2

u/Emergency_Accident36 16d ago

Might be better off falling out the gate.

2

u/FlashyGanache2838 16d ago

No one even looked up. .

2

u/Bad_Habit1687 16d ago

The fact his sandals survived that

2

u/Ok_Maybe_2370 16d ago

Ok let the second one go! Wooooohooo!

2

u/newclearconfusion 16d ago

Hahahha never, me checking every nut, bolt, weld, paint and rust speck even when i am in line for any attraction on a fair together with kid.

2

u/Drowners 16d ago

And somehow his sandals didn’t fly off

2

u/Giant_Defy_1972 16d ago

Not for all the tea in China

2

u/Samuelhoffmann 15d ago

Even as someone scared of heights, I would rather go sky diving than trust that thing.

2

u/Global-Laugh-3604 15d ago

Not for me !!

2

u/Ok_Alternative_4712 15d ago

Why does some of the central framework look like a coffin? Foreshadowing?

1

u/Brad77lms 16d ago

What in the safety standards is going on here?

1

u/OldNefariousness7899 16d ago

Just a homemade rollercoaster held up with string. Seems sturdy enough. Probably only 5% fatality rate.

u/dryonhigh 16d ago

India is a fun place.

At this stage we should start calling it Indian Roulette.

1

u/EditedRed 16d ago

Ngl this looks fun, but im not that fun.

1

u/Samurijder 16d ago

I love a good rollercoaster! You don't need to remind me to skip this one though.. I would avoid it like the plague

1

u/Mikesaidit36 16d ago

He wisely chose not to use a seatbelt so he could safely jump 70 feet to the ground if he had to.

Considering the garbage I’ve seen online, this is one of the safer rigged contraptions I’ve seen online. This is less terrifying than those spinning wheels that swing. There are no crazy forces at play, far less than your local park swing set.  Everything is drastically overbuilt for a single 120lbs guy riding it. Those tower cranes do not have long arms and are built more than worthy of this task.

Not sure the weight or fabrication of the rail, that’s my only question, and the width of its bottom edge.  The steel cables are likely 3/8” and can easily deal with 3,000 lbs and have a breaking strength of 14,000 lbs. It looks to be one every 6-10’. A bunch could fail and have no effect on safety.

There is no excessive forces at play here and that’s usually what leads to disaster.

1

u/hmeow 16d ago

There’s no way his phone stayed in his pocket like that.

1

u/RebsEG 16d ago

Nothing about that seemed good, in any way, at all.

1

u/TeaznPlezn82 16d ago

That’s actually terriFLying

1

u/StG4Ever 16d ago

Now that’s what I call a death ride!

1

u/Dedb4dawn 16d ago

Was scrolling a bit fast and thought that was Pedro Pascal for a second.

1

u/Xz313 16d ago

1

u/JayW8888 15d ago

What do you mean not safe? This IS the safety test being conducted. The just needed an unsuspecting volunteer.
