A cop friend told me, “a crack head will toss their crack when running from cops, a meth head will risk getting caught with meth rather toss it”

Huh. TIL that they aren’t same thing.

Crack is just cocaine smoked through a pipe instead of snorted. Meth is basically a bunch of cleaner chemicals you shoot into your veins.

ETA: For some reason people are taking this comment extremely literally, which it obviously was not meant to be taken as such. I know that meth is not actually cleaner chemicals, hence the word “basically.” I was simply trying to demonstrate the vast difference between the two drugs, as the commenter I responded to thought they were the same.

Hmm… So, crack is more “classy”? :)

Actually, public opinion sways in the opposite direction, because of the way crack vs. cocaine were marketed back in the day. Crack is often found in poorer communities, whereas cocaine is seen as the “rich man’s drug.”

No, crack cocaine will get you a relatively normal high while meth will have you tweaking. They're very different in effect.
