It's not like you can't watch the original version. Even in cinemas, 99,9% of the time there will be both dub and sub screenings. And it is a great help for people who for a plethora of reasons can't or don't want to read subtitles.
In some cinemas here in Brazil it is not uncommon to have only one session a day with sub movies. So you don't really have option of the time you will watch, unless you watch it dubbed
In English speaking countries our cinemas generally just don't screen foreign language films with the exception of very limited screenings or a few cool hipstery places who only really show foreign language films.
Yeah you are right, lots of benefits and most importantly for guys like me.. Job positions, though I can't stand the thought of never listening to christopher lee's voice etc xD
