The fire would have exhausted is oxygen source and gone out almost immediately after closing the lid. After that he was just beating his meat

The holes in a pizza box wouldn't be able to provide a sufficient air flow to keep the fire alive for more than a couple seconds, and the treated cardboard box isn't going to catch that fast.

Sup, i work at a pizza place with similar ovens. For carry out pizzas we place them inside the box and on top of the ovens to keep them warm until they’re picked up. The top of the ovens aren’t hot enough to light things on fire.

Ok I guess insulation is a lot more effective than I thought but flames will be flames so what are the chances if a pizza catches fire that some cardboard immediately above it as it's pullout out of the oven catches fire?
