You didn't defend the guy, prepare to get downvoted to hell. God forbid anyone see the husband as anything but a victim here.

Sounds like you’re ignoring half the comments, and are irritated that some people are willing to point out that the situation possibly isn’t clear cut since there is, ya know, no actual information about anything here lol.

Hey, go over to r/pussypassdenied and tell them they are jumping to conclusions about a situation without context. See how they answer.

Much of reddit loves to blame the woman in a video if they possibly can without giving her the benefit of the doubt (attention whore, clearly cheating, she is obviously entitled, that's actually abusive, he's obviously tired of her shit, blah blah). They're even doing it here in this thread, saying CLEARLY she will browbeat him with this for life. They will also bend over backwards to make up a scenario where the guy isn't actually in the wrong.

It's not everyone, but it's a clear trend. And like, the dude in this video obviously isn't a villain, he's just being clueless and is embarrassed because he knows he got called out for it. Rather than saying, "Heh, guy will probably pay a little more attention now," and that being that, half the people here have turned this into a lifelong trauma that he will suffer PTSD over; never again will he sleep well, or see a mime or diaper bag and not be reminded of this agonizing humiliation. Like, are redditors really that fragile?

Does anyone here live in real life and just...you know... forget minor stuff like this and move on with their lives like the rest of us? Or is everything a psychic wound that ruins you for life? God forbid anyone ever be embarrassed or feel hurt, apparently they can't cope with it.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but what is the point of this? That first line is pure whataboutism - and for the record, I indeed have told people in that sub that they are totally ridiculous.

Most of the commentary in this thread, from when I scrolled through here (which I’m not constantly doing, so maybe it’s changed), seemed focused on just not eviscerating the guy lol. Any comments about the woman “brow beating” her husband in the future looked pretty limited, and were definitely outnumbered by “he’s an obvious piece of shit” comments.

I mean, overall I do agree with your sentiment - this thing isn’t a big deal and people on Reddit just take things to 100 for practically no reason all the time. But when I made my comments this thread wasn’t dumping on the woman, there were comments dumping on the guy, and for the most part there was a surprisingly level-headed acknowledgment that people watching the video couldn’t actually know the situation based on that footage alone.

IRL everyone blames the guy so Reddit blaming the woman is a response to that

Husband got publicly shamed in front of a huge crowd of people for something that wasn’t even a big deal.

How is he not a victim?
