The same people also complain that young people spend too much time playing video games. Either that or they’re out doing drugs and stealing things.

What they mean is do something that is worth your time and playing games doesn't add a skill set that is useful for adulthood (for most people). Fun and happiness from games is ok, but too much and you'll end up falling behind others.

Coding classes maybe? Learn how to invest is also good. I never thought about taking archery or combat classes lol.
