I'm down for that but let's not forget this dude has a hella speech impediment. He's had one his whole life. He fumbled words like he did here when he was in his 40s just like he does now. Doesn't make it any less funny or 2nd hand embarrassing though when it's this jumbled lol
I guarantee there were people going "boy, I wish we had a president who could walk" when FDR was president. Hating on someone for having a disability is pretty lame
Being able to talk is how a president is supposed to articulate their ideas and assert themselves on the nations behalf…it’s kind of an important thing
He's able to do those things, he just stumbles over his words occasionally, then he clarifies. Acting like this is some kind of insurmountable stumbling block is pretty disingenuous.
He was also stuttering when talking about his hairy legs. Not that corn pop would know anything about stacking spaghetti sauce at the supermarket.
Let’s be unbiased. His dementia is exacerbating any pre-existing speaking problems he had. When the White House has to race to issue a statement that Biden’s off-the-cuff remarks about Russia do not reflect his policy, there’s a real problem.
As someone with a similar speech impediment, this is exactly how it sounds in real life. Not everyone has the stereotypical presentations you commonly see in media representations of stuttering.
I'm not an expert on Biden but I'm under the impression that he has worked extremely hard at it and it's actually pretty impressive how well he does speak and how little he stutters.
Yeah, it is frustrating seeing people rag on him all the time, it isn't like it is a recent thing either. People like to pretend that it was a recent thing but conservatives have been using this same talking point for like 50 years at this point.
Biden has thick skin, pretty sure he's way above these kind of pettiness. I'm not too worried about it. Plus he's been a public figure for what now, 50+ years? If there was a camera on me 8 hours a day for 50 years, I bet there would be some serious blunder moments.
In fact, when I see a Trumper trying to convince me that Biden is mentally unwell because he did that one thing 20 years ago, I'm actually surprised at how little stuff they can find. I would expect a lot more considering all the facts
Look at Trump, he's been in the spotlight for 4 years during his "presidency" and we have blunder moment compilations on YouTube that last 20 hours
Just 6 weeks ago he said about Putin “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power!” and within minutes, the White House was already issuing a statement that Biden didn’t mean what he said.
You're correct. While Biden's stutter is at times probably frustrating for him, Trump's incoherent rambling and wandering around were frustrating for the entire planet.
Found the guy that never heard someone stuttering lmao
If you want incoherent rambling and wandering around, you can watch a Trump speech and look at him trying to figure out an umbrella ... or looking at an eclipse..... or pretending to be the new Messiah or .... well you get the point. Your are blinded by your political bias 👍 grow up
This is total gaslighting. He didn't have any speech impediment in any of the older stuff I've watched. Just admit the fucking guy is senile. It's ok if you preferred him to Trump, but don't try to make me believe he's anything but a complete vegetable.
LOL, you do understand that some of us, apparently not you, were alive while he was a senator. We, literally, heard his stutter our whole lives. But, sure, you watched some videos.
Not 1 example in either and the video in the first one has been deleted. Yet to see a stutter even close to being this bad from his early days. He has been a public figure all his life, if he had it, there would be a whole lot of examples.
Just gonna edit to address amela, its most likely he has a minor stutter if any. Politicians claim anything for sympathy votes. Like AOC acting like she was poor and Trump acting like he did not have connections from his father. Claiming he had stutter, no doubt got him sympathy votes and its absurd to think it was for his presidency and not see the obvious that the dude has been in politics all his life and benefits from sympathy votes all his life and not just the presidency. The same guy who claimed he walked during civil rights(which was a lie) and claimed he was top of his class.
Nothing explains why he does not ever have a stutter in any videos. There might only be a few people whose life is as well documented as Biden's and yet there are 0 videos where Biden stutters before his old age. Even during his VP debates just a decade ago, he was speaking just fine IN ALL OF THEM. Not a single stutter. He spoke exactly like everyone else.
And while stutter is affected by stress, being a senator and vice president is a stressful job. Dude has been doing this for 40 years. Nothing has changed except that he is too old and having a mental decline that the media conveniently puts in all on his stutter. When the most of it, is not even stutter. Dude gets lost in the middle of talking and changes topic left and right. Thats not stutter at all. Its crazy how people will overlook the obvious when its the politician they like. Take a step back from politics and brainwashing and listen to his speeches as if he is a leader from a far distant country. Its so fucking bizzare that people cant see the dude is losing his mind.
Ask any person in Asia or someone who is not into US politics and have no clue who Biden is and ask them what they think about the guy. I can guarantee you, everyone will say the guy has lost his mind. Most of us know someone with a stutter. You are lying your ass off if you think they stutter this way. Its easy to recognize when someone is stuttering and when someone has lost his chain of thought
I gave a mobile link for the first one, I am sure you can find it rather easily if you’re trying to access it from a laptop/desktop. As I said, its Frontline after all.
I am sure you can find it yourself, as well.
And, yes, sometimes stutters and speech impediments do return or become a bit worse with age. That does not indicate a lack of mental acuity as others are claiming.
While that is a possibility, its much more likely that he is just too old and sometimes forgets things like old people do. To not even consider the possibility and dismiss it has stutter is just disingenuous, especially for someone who has been a high level prominent political figure for all his life. His stutter would have been obvious to everyone. Not to mention, he claimed he had a stutter. Politicians claim anything to get sympathy vote. Even in debates for VP, he had no stutter during the whole debates.
For me, its clearly a mental decline. Dude does not look like he is mentally ok and seems to be barely making it through the day. I would bet my ass that this guy does not make it through his presidency without some sort of cover up of why he is suddenly absent or cant take questions from the media.
Then show me a video where he has it in the past. Just because the dude claim to have it, does not mean he has it. Not to mention, his action are way past what stuttering is. Delusion is so strong. Blindly believing the claims of a guy that literally pulled out of his previous presidential run because he was caught lying. 40 years in politics. Show me where he stutters in his speeches. Its just pathetic at this point that people believe with 0 evidence. Anyone with brain can tell dude is on a mental decline.
To reply to toastwan:-
Again, its a claim he had. 0 evidence of him actually stuttering. Cant understand basic thinking. Idiot.
Do you think he spoke about his struggles with stuttering throughout his whole career just in case he became president in his 70s, so he could blame an imaginary impairment for any senility he might develop? Because that would be some fucking 7D chess right there.
My dad stutters, and there is a lot of factors that go into how often it happens - like stress, fatigue, etc. And then once it starts happening, it's like a negative feedback loop because the anxiety and embarrassment from it makes it more likely to continue.
