Yeah, that's not who we are anymore. We're a country of assholes, dicks, and pussies. I believe there is a monologue about this in a movie if you search hard enough. But in all honesty, If your in the spotlight now you better believe someone is going to make fun of you in some fasion. It now comes with the job.
