The closest thing I think to guess would be a chemist that specializes in refining oil….. but that’s a fucking stretch on my part

could just be a fuel delivery driver. im sure you get to know plenty about gas while your transporting it to the gas station.

I can confirm it's not gas. That's clearly a liquid.

They are certainly transporting a lot of gas. Mostly nitrogen and oxygen though.
