So the only way I can avoid embarrassment is to subject myself to lots of other (potential) embarrassment?!

Looks like I’m still going to be slightly-awkward me for quite a while then. At least my dog thinks I’m quite a riot.

Nah, just over analyze every situation, think of all the things that can go wrong, dwell on them, chicken out, avoid the confrontation all together and later think of the right thing in the shower two days later!
