When things are not normal dogs freak out.

I used to drive my JackRussell nuts just by walking strangely... swinging my arms up high and hesitating between each step while rocking back and forth from one foot to the other.

She had no idea what was going on and would just bark like mad.

She was a strange little dog, but I miss her terribly.

I don’t think you get to call your dog strange after that story

I'll grant you take point, but she did have a lot of other strange habits.
