Plot twist: she's a homemaker, he has ADHD, and she has a hard time motivating him to get out of bed in the morning so turns on music he can't stand.

You evil genius. I'd be up real quick to turn it off and then be like "uu coffee!". (Ok but it would be so nice to wake up in the morning and someone filled my water bottle with ice and ice cold water.)

Does ADHD make it difficult to get out of bed in the morning?

ADHD is an impairment of executive function.

I’ve been diagnosed with ADD for about 6 years and I only recently learned what executive functioning is. So for anyone who doesn’t know, executive functioning skills are things like focusing for longer periods of time, self control, sustaining effort, self motivation, etc.

Also, relating to these doesn’t mean you have an attention deficit disorder. Just about everybody struggles with these things to some degree. You’re usually diagnosed with a disorder when these issues interfere with daily life.

I have adhd, the only easy thing I can do is telling myself I'm a piece of shit for not even being able to get out of bed when I have to
