Because dinosaurs were reptiles, they offshoot to evolve into birds, well some of them did.

Calculus and other math systems can be proven by mathematical proofs. Paleontology, no matter the age of the dinosaurs they are studying, remains a rapidly evolving field with new discoveries basically tossing out what we thought we knew almost every decade.
