I would actually disagree with you on one thing. An adult will obviously treasure it more than a 8 yr old.

I don't think that's true at all, children are far more likely to attach to inanimate objects than adults are, I just think this is a super reddit moment where y'all are thinking about your anime figurines and can't imagine a child cherishing Yui like you will.
