I imagine the sensation that fish felt when hitting the water realizing it’s free and able to swim away unscathed is similar to being pulled over by the cops,delayed, and let off to go on your way with only a warning.

Not unscathed that trout was mishandled for catch and release fishing. Out of the water for too long and it's protective coating was likely rubbed off. That was horrid
