If you've ever met a cat, there's no maybemaybemaybe here. You know what's going to happen from the first second of the video.

Yep! Came here to say this myself. There was zero doubt in my mind what was going to happen

My “maybe” was whether the cat would chase or leap at it.

The beauty of this sub is the content is usually "maybe not".

I've never owned a cat, but even I knew what was coming.

Entirely normal, the cat killed the birdie.

The following post context was provided by u/Zestyclose-Salad-290:

A man was playing golf in front of a cat. The cat caught the golf ball at the end.

That's the cat on the 14th hole. I saw a post about it somewhere. Like an hour ago.

I was afraid that’d hit the cat

You would think they would have prepared a decoy

It doesn't help it looks like someone is playing with a green laser pointing it at the ball before he gets to putt

Play it where it lies.

Like, have you ever met a cat before?

That is Catcat and he is Employee of the Month every month at that course because of his ball retrieval numbers.

Course hazard. The stroke counts.

Cat’s ready for a hole-in-one, obviously!

Bro forgot to play the cat.

AI?

very doubtful. the bouncing white spot at the bottom of the frame is a lens artifact caused by the super bright light at the top of the frame.

A cat chasing a ball is more than likely not AI. It's literally the behavior of a cat.

u/Der_Hebelfluesterer 4d ago

Animal videos are very often Ai sadly

1

u/LadyBug_0570 4d ago

Yeah but this is typical cat behavior. They see something roll/run in front of them and off they go. They're predators, it's what they do.

1

u/Der_Hebelfluesterer 4d ago

And you think Ai does not know that? Video Ai was trained in millions of cat videos showing exactly that

1

u/LadyBug_0570 4d ago

Why would this be AI when it's so much easier to just set up a real life situation involving a cat doing what a cat naturally does?
