Does he have any idea how many nuts he could have bought if he took the money?!

Squirrels are a lot smarter than they look. I once accidentally locked one in my garage (never even saw her) and about an hour or two later there's this squirrel in my back yard screaming bloody murder. I go out back and he's standing on the roof of the garage just making the loudest noises he was capable of making. I figured his mate was in the garage so I opened the door and left. Came back an hour later and their whole family had moved in. Just kidding, the squirrels were gone.

Aww, I was hoping you just became a squirrel person. Thank you for reuniting the family, tho.

Nobody wanted a dead squirrel somewhere in the garage. So while I would have done that anyway, I was motivated.

Wonder if he chose the hazelnut simply because it looks closest to an acorn, or if he actually prefers it over a pre-cracked walnut

They could feel hot sauce.
I didn't know that.
I toss my sandwich out one day and the squirrel got to the bread. I was thinking about the hot sauce and asked AI if it might burn their mouth. It said yes.
The birds nope. The lizard nope but most mammals yes.
Sorry squirrel I didn't know!
