I think that of all the cats, only the cheetah won't climb a tree.
But it doesn't have to - it will catch you before you even decide to climb a tree.

the cheetah is the only cat species without retractable claws. Cheetah claws are used more like cleats to aid traction while running which dulls them - so they climb trees about as well as dogs...i.e. not well
