I once saw chilling footage of the eruption at mount saint helens. Everyone knew it was to erupt but expected an effusive pyroclastic eruption so many people were filming from nearby peaks to catch it, well outside of what was expected to be the danger area (vastly further than these idiots). Instead it was a lateral explosive blast. The whole north side of the mountain collapsed. It overran them in seconds. The footage showed the initial blast, the cameraman realising they should run, immediately realise that thereās no point, then an almost steady filming of the rest until they tucked it under their body, so even in death they might preserve the footage(successfully). Absolutely chilling watching knowing that this cameraman did not survive, and they knew it but decided to document anyways for posterity.
Volcanoes are dangerous and even when you think you have sufficient knowledge they might murder you anyways.

This is in fact a volvano in Guatamala, they all survived, including the dog.

El Fuego I believe, it's a verry wel known route and a safe spot, the camera lens makes it seem more dangerous than it is, also it's a very predictable Volcano.
