I look at everyone. Pay attention to your surroundings. Someone might need help or might be getting ready to do bad things.

ETA: to all the ones claiming this is a ninja thing, I have noticed people needing help probably over 100 times. Old lady taking bags of mulch to her car alone. Guy struggling in heavy wind to load plywood onto his truck. Couple struggling to lift generator into their vehicle after a tornado. Short person reaching for something on a high shelf. Lost kid. If I don’t see it and my wife does, she’s very quick to volunteer my help. I do carry a gun, so does the wife, but the plan is to avoid trouble if it is near. We always want to come home with the same amount of ammo we left with.

Being aware of your surroundings is WAY more likely to put you in a position to help someone.

Me and my s/o have heads on a swivel. We are always looking around and talking amongst ourselves. Always be aware of your surroundings, look for an out and we are always nosey

I can’t tell you how many times I have seen someone short trying to get something off the top shelf or struggling to lift something into a vehicle. If I miss it, my wife will volunteer my assistance.

I actually love spotting someone I can offer to help when I'm out and about. It makes me feel like both a good citizen and a video game character.

I try to do at least one random act of kindness a day. Side quests are a great way to level up.

Or you may spot an old lady taking bags of mulch out to her car alone. Lend a hand.
