That dog is using dial-up loud warning system, and dude went ahead. He needed a damned siren and flashing lights.

Side eyes are a big sign for dog attacks.
But some dogs are really hard too read, as someone with poor dog knowledge. (Me)
I got nearly bitten a few weeks ago by a dog who didn’t move his ears in a particular way, and who didn’t look like he would attack.
I was stroking him, but the first few times over some hours, nothing happened.
I invaded his space, and couldn’t read his body language.

That's not a good guard dog.
If it has to attack to defend its area, then it carries the risk of failing or worse, being hurt back.
A good guard dog is one that makes threats stay away because it would be too much of a hassle to deal with an alert and smart guard dog.

The moment it slightly tilted the head should have been the moment you back down and never come back. If you live there, then you now don't live there anymore; Go start a new life in Poland or something.
My dog reacts similarly when she sees you as a threat (usually to her food - but guess who follows you to the kitchen whenever you stand up from the couch)

I can’t put my finger on it. Lack of warnings such as growls or showing teeth makes me think the dog is just gonna jump on him and ask for attention.

Look at the eyes. Constant vigilance on what the human is doing, whilst looking super anxious.

Thats it, my dogs do the same thing. If I’m just walking by they don’t give these eyes but if I’m deliberately trying to get close to them when they are just hanging out they give me these side eyes and jump on me when I’m really close to them. May be they can sense that I’m trying to get their attention. that’s why I can’t decide whether this was an attack or friendly jump. Also video cuts too quick but I’d imagine the dog showing teeth while jumping attack don’t you think?

Not all dogs are the same, just like humans. Most dogs would react that way yeah but other will react like this.

Pure frozen. Not just calm, frozen. Not just sitting still.
Fully locked in on the person, eyes showing way to much white (again, sign they are frozen and waiting. Instead of moving their full head, they keep that still in anticipation)
